This new 2 storey home was designed for a young family of 5.

Emphasis was on livability, passive solar performance, energy efficiency and light. Ground floor with a large kitchen and open plan living facing north. Entry from the street welcomes guest with an inviting atrium upon entry.

The children’s bedrooms and play space are facing south and feeds into the expansive, manicured garden. This area is set up to change into a second living area in the future if need arises. The Atrium binds the spaces together and is visible from all areas.

Use of recycled building materials have been used expensively to give a warm yet industrial feel to the home. Upper floor is the parents retreat with a small office by the floating stairs, a master bedroom with a balcony overlooking the gardens, a north facing ensuite and walk in robe.
