2 Storey Granny Flat
This build was conducted for an earth-enriched doctor looking to provide a sustainable house option for a lucky future tenant.
This build was designed with an eco friendly outlook. It was made from 120mm timber frame walls over concrete slab. It utilizes maximum insulation throughout, roof mounted solar power, rainwater storage, wood fired water heating with booster, grey water recycling, and moon gazing velux roof window in the master bedroom.
The lower house consists of a kitchen, dining, lounge, lower bathroom and storage under the stairs, whilst the upper level is the master suite with built in robe, desk, and book shelves. Although small, the house offers a very comfortable environment for the lucky tenant.
This house also boasts Marri floors laid over 12mm ply and timber battens. Upstairs has Karri floors and all the flooring used was sourced from the owners Denmark property. The kitchen also has solid timber natural edge bench tops milled on the owners farm for this build.
